Location Control

Module available in Enterprise license, Standard and Pro License need to add on module.
In Dynamod, there's feature that make advance control on location. By using this features, company management are allow to distribute user account to selected location, then the user account are only able to access on it selected location like transaction, enquiry and report. This could get benefit for the company have a lot location or branches, this feature could reduce the human mistake on transaction and enhance privacy on different location. In this post, you’ll find a introduce and walk through of these features that have been bullet points in our release note (Build 0045).
How it work on Location control / 3 Steps to complete Location Control
1. Enable Location Control .
2. Decide(Turn on or off) on which screen and report for location location .
3. Set user location assignment .
Completed! Now you should only able to view or select the location assigned to you.
Also, it is location control not location stock control. If no stock also can control the location.
Benefit of location control
Location control could apply in many industries. However the great benefit is for the organisation which have multi location.
- Multiple location, warehouses, stockrooms, and bin locations may be defined.
- Avoid human error on select location
- Privacy improve for different location
- Supervisor, manager or regional manager could more focus on their area
New Add On Module
This location control will be a new add on module which not include in standard package. This module is release in DynaMod v2016.1 Build 0045 and DynaMod Server Socket 2016.1 Build 0021.
Enable location control function on Common Module > Setup > Company Default Settings
How it works on Location Control Stock
First, please setup your location (Common Module -> Setup -> Location)
Second, please setup your user list (Common Module -> System Security -> System User)
Third, please setup system location control, to decide which module, screen that have to control (Common Module -> Setup -> System Location Control)
Now we will show you a scenario base on the sample below.
Location List
User List
Setup location control fast assignment, System user -> More -> Location control fast assignment
For this scenario we have setup like below.
Default Location: (Selection) System auto select default location for all new transaction
Lock Location when create transaction: (Y/N) Not allow to change location on Sales cycle, system will get default location.
Access All Location: (Y/N) Able to view, create and select in transaction on all location.
Location: (Y/N) only selected location could be select and view
For example, user IPOH create an purchase order now.
This user only able to choose location id IP.
But for other user issue like table below

For Supervisor scenario, Location is lock but accessible to HQ and IP
For sales cycle location is lock
but able to view other location transaction and report, for this scenario he able to view HQ and IP.
